Alderney Manor
In 1976, J.W. Cowie Engineering Limited (Cowie) was retained by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) to investigate the cause and extent of the failure of the brick masonry veneer/steel stud walls of Alderney Manor. After only 3 years subsequent to the completion of construction, significant construction problems were detected with the brick masonry veneer/steel stud walls of the building.
